Williamson is a town in Wayne County with a population of about 7,000. It is about 35 square miles.
Williamson was created in 1802. It was originally much larger than it is today. Other towns, such as Ontario and Marion, were created using parts of Williamson.
Williamson has hosted the annual Williamson Apple Blossom Festival since 1960. This festival celebrates the town's heritage of apple farming. It is a week-long celebration that has a carnival, 10k race, parade, and "fly-in" breakfast at the local airport.
